Course Overview

Suited for Queensland workplaces as a general evacuation and first response training session.
Meets the requirements for general evacuation and first response evacuation instruction in the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008
Gives the skills and knowledge required of a building occupant to prevent and respond to emergency situations in their workplace
Teaches the correct procedures and appropriate equipment to use in the event of an emergency

This Course Includes

Guided exercises to identify and explain fire safety equipment and to understand the procedure for safely evacuating the building as per the Fire & Evacuation Plan
Emergency response protocols tailored to various types of workplace emergencies
Procedures for using fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire blankets, and fire alarms
Hands-on demonstration of fire extinguishers, including water, dry chemical powder, foam, and carbon dioxide types on a live fire simulator

Certification

A Fire and Evacuation Instruction Record will be provided on completion of the course as required under the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008.
